To be sustainable and effective, teaching global competency can be paired with existing K-12 content. In this workshop, Global Cities, Inc. and Council on Foreign Relations-Education show how educators can teach a timely global issue — migration — in a way that builds students’ broader global knowledge and perspectives. We share an original lesson plan and guide participants through customizing it for their own instructional settings.
